Synopsis:

Vic Thatcher has now become accepted as the tutor of the two children, John and Lizzie. Confined to a wheelchair, he finds his incapacity irksome, but is comforted by the children's need for him. Then Anne Tranter, who had abandoned him badly injured in the quarry, wanders into the community.
